Rain Garden Professional Workshop
Wednesday, March 21, 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Kernersville Public Works, 509 Michael St., Kernersville
As homeowners and property managers become more aware of regulations related to stormwater management, the need for qualified stormwater BMP installers is growing. Rain gardens, one of the most common installations, are as landscape features that can effectively collect and treat stormwater and reduce localized flooding. Rain gardens can be integrated into the existing landscape as a retrofit or be included in the initial landscaping plan. To effectively manage stormwater, rain gardens must be accurately sized and properly constructed. This one-day workshop will present a method for sizing and designing rain gardens and will detail proper construction techniques.
Who Should Attend: This workshop is tailored to professionals that design, install or maintain rain gardens and other stormwater Best Management Practices. It is also suitable for commercial and residential landscapers, landscape architects, design engineers, property managers and owners, master gardeners and town and city stormwater managers.
The workshop is FREE and lunch will be provided at no cost. Please list allergies and meal preferences when registering.
Space is limited and pre-registration is required by Monday, March 19 at noon.
