Community Cleanups!

Saturday, March 24 1, 9 a.m. - Noon

This is your chance to do something proactive to help our waterways! Litter on school grounds, streets and parks often gets washed into creeks. As part of Creek Week, clean-ups will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 24 in Clemmons and Lewisville. It's a great way to earn service hours!

  • Clemmons: Clemmons is looking for groups of energetic people (homeowner associations, school organizations, scout groups, a group of friends, etc.) that are interested in working together to clean up creeks/streams in their neighborhoods. Don’t live near a creek or stream but still want to help? Clemmons will assign you a road to clean up. Individuals and groups can request an area or be assigned a location. Vests and trash bags will be provided. Pre-register with Clemmon’s Stormwater Department at 336-766-9170.
  • Lewisville: Lewisville's Public Works Department is organizing a community clean-up in Lewisville to grab litter before it ends up in local creeks and streams. Pre-register with the town's Public Works Department, 336-945-1020.

The Great American Cleanup, April 14 in Winston-Salem:  The Great American Cleanup in Winston-Salem is coordinated by Keep Winston-Salem Beautiful and is part of the national Great American Cleanup, coordinated annually by Keep America Beautiful.
