Water Discoveries at Salem Lake Canceled

Water Discoveries Saturday, March 23 at 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Salem Lake Park 815 Salem Lake Rd Winston-Salem, NC 27101 Come prepared to learn about our waterways, get your feet wet sampling macroinvertebrates in our creek and learn more about how to keep our water clean. Cody Orman, outdoor educator for the city of Winston-Salem, will lead an exploration of Salem Creek. Then participants will bring their findings to the HPU mobile lab to examine under microscopes. Dr. Sandra Cooke, a professor at Greensboro College. will be giving a presentation on water quality. All ages are welcome, families encouraged! Children under 12 should be accompanied by an adult.
