Join Yadkin Riverkeeper and TEEM (Temple Emanuel, Parkway United Church of Christ and Unitarian Universalist Fellowship) for a screening of the critically acclaimed documentary American River! We will also have an introduction and a Q&A with the producer of the film, Scott Morris!
This documentary follows Mary Bruno and guide Carl Alderson on a four-day, 80-mile adventure down the Passaic River in New Jersey, from its pristine source in a wildlife refuge to its toxic mouth in Newark Bay. How did the Passaic become one of the most contaminated rivers in America? Can it be saved? And what does the future hold for our precious natural resources?

Unwind from the school week and join us as we watch a movie about "a 12-year-old boy who searches for the one thing that will enable him to win the affection of the girl of his dreams. To find it he must discover the story of the grumpy yet charming creature who fights to protect his world". A program waiver is required to enjoy popcorn and drinks, and while the movie is aimed at school age children, all ages are welcome.
